I'm Back.

Sorry for my lack of posts. We finally have the internet, which means no more sitting on the toilet to use the wireless connection! So, for better or worse, you'll be hearing from me a lot more often.

My only problem now is that my cell phone is broken. I don't know what I ever did to technology, but it seems to hate me these days. Maybe I'll just move to Walden.

I'm super glad you're back. And super sad you won't be at res to keep me company. I have a really cute picture from dinner last night, it's on my Flickr account.

Alicen, glad you asked. Walden Pond is where writer/philosopher/transcendentalist Henry David Thoreau built a cabin for himself in the woods and lived in relative solitude for a couple of years. It's in Concord, not too far from Boston.

And also, guess what? I got a new cell phone today. So I guess I won't be abandoning technology so soon after all.

Wow, that's neat. I love when you teach me things. Sometimes I feel like a child at your feet. (I'm not being facetious at all--totally serious). I just watched a PBS documentary about the generation coming up now who have known nothing but high speed internet and cell phones, etc. It's scarry the problems it is causing...a lot of ADD, kids not reading books because they find everything online, etc. etc. I really want to take my kids and live in the country somewhere--Walden sounds just perfect. Thanks for the idea and the lesson.
