Beyond Jennifer and Jason

Okay, no one be alarmed if you come over and see this book on my shelf:

I am NOT pregnant (heaven forbid Marcus ever see this post). My advisor this coming semester, the great Michael Martone, wanted me to put this book on my reading list. He says it's a good reference for naming characters (knowing what kinds of stereotypes are associated with different names, etc.).

Lisa, my heart almost skipped a beat for a second. I won't tell Marcus, I swear.

Good idea for character names and when you do get prego you will have a nice reference to use!

Lisa, I was absolutely shocked you would announce your pregancy on your blog, without first telling your dear little mother!

And then I read the note at the bottom! I didn't know whether to be happy or sad.

Love,
Mom

Soon, everyone, soon. Seamus is on his way.

Seamus? As you can see, Dan and I have a long way to go before deciding on a name for our future child. It's probably a good thing that we're getting this book well in advance - we really need to get this dialogue going.

On a side note, the spell checker on here seems to think there's something wrong with the way I spelled "dialogue." Seems like both spellings are equally acceptable. Am I wrong?
