I just discovered that we get a pretty strong wireless connection in our bathroom. Our internet woes are solved!

The Marvelous Misadventures of Captain Flapjack!

I just saw that my brother's upcoming show is now on Wikipedia!
I'm so excited for THE MARVELOUS MISADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN FLAPJACK to come out in 2008 on Cartoon Network! My brothers are very talented (Jonny is also working on this show). I'll let cha'll know the official air date as soon as I find out. Now I've just got to talk Dan into letting us get cable (he's still in denial about us having a little TV set hidden under our desk)...

*The Three of Us*

So a few months ago, there was this great episode of This American Life called "The Break-up" in which contributor Starlee Kine wrote a break-up song for her ex-boyfriend (inspired by none other than Phil Collins!).

I cannot get this song out of my head.  I sing it in the shower, while I'm doing the dishes, and even very quietly while I'm walking in the grocery store.  Dan sings along, too.

It was a great episode, anyhow.  You should listen to it in the archives.  Starlee is funny.

And while we're on the subject of This American Life, one of my fellow Warren-Wilsonites, Rachel Howard, was on the show last week talking about the unsolved murder of her father.

And yes, I will continue to plug This American Life until everyone I know is a dedicated listener.  And RadioLab.  And Radio West.  I listen to these shows while I'm stocking the bread at Trader Joe's in the morning.  I have come to love those three precious hours of the morning before the outspoken but lovable Bostonians come shopping when I can listen to my favorite podcasts and make sure we have enough Ezekiel bread and Tuscan Pane for the masses.

Wanna Live By An Apostle?

This seems so wrong.

Makes me ashamed to come from such an "exclusive nieghborhood" [sic].

New York City, You're So Pretty

Last weekend we took the bus to NYC with our good friends Chelsi and Eric. The bus ride was only about four hours and it took us straight into Times Square. We had a fantastic time. Dan has family in Brooklyn and they were kind enough to let us stay with them. We walked and walked and walked and walked and walked AND walked like good little pioneer children. AND Chelsi is six months pregnant.

Here are some pictures of the awesomeness. I wish I could put a slideshow on here, but I'm not advanced enough to do that yet. I bet Aimee would know how. Aim?
